2020 Annual Report 

New Beginnings

What a wild ride this past year has been. There were sobering moments last March when we wondered if our young organization could survive. Yet so many supporters rallied around us and we got to work. We found a new kitchen, sharpened our digital marketing skills, enhanced our social media outreach and adapted our new youth program to a virtual platform. Doors opened that led to new opportunities.

We released a new website, expanded our board and our staff team, and recruited a team of youth mentors. We even designed a new super-duper super-healthy product. In the end, we grew our sales by over 20%.

We are calling this annual report “New Beginnings” in recognition of the ways that necessity truly became the mother of invention. Click the buttons to hear our staff, trainees and some of you share about ways we grew and made an impact on our community. Celebrate our new programs, our new staff and our financial gains with us. And know that we couldn’t have done it without you. We are truly proud to represent you in the work we do.

We hope to see refugee arrivals grow from a paltry 10,000 to a more reasonable 125,000 in the coming year. Newcomers will need not only jobs and economic opportunity, but confidence and respect. Some in our country will need a change of heart in order to provide a heartfelt welcome. We’re looking forward to being a part of the solution.
